Install
Sofik runs on macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) as the primary platform, with experimental Windows and Linux support. A few features (global panel HUD, stealth mode against screenshares on Linux) are still partial off Mac.
macOS
Download the latest signed build:
The .dmg file is ~80MB. Open it, drag the icon to /Applications, and
open the app the first time via cmd+click → Open (to authorize the
signed binary).
Windows (experimental)
.exe installer (x64). The global shortcut is Ctrl+⇧+S. Stealth mode
works; a few global-panel behaviors are still partial.
Linux (experimental)
.AppImage (x86_64). Global shortcut Ctrl+⇧+S. Floating-panel behavior
depends on the compositor (tested on Wayland/Gnome and KDE).
Permissions (macOS)
On first launch the system will ask for:
- Accessibility — to register the global ⌘⇧S shortcut
- Microphone — optional, for voice dictation
- Screen recording — optional, for screenshots inside the HUD
All of these can be revoked later under System Settings → Privacy & Security.
